WHAT IS Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA)?
ESTA is an automated system that determines whether you are eligible to travel to the United States as part of the Visa Waiver Program. It evaluates the security and law enforcement risks of traveling to the United States. A VWP traveler who has completed the ESTA form will be notified about their eligibility to travel to America. THE ESTA?
Citizens of Visa Waiver Countries can now apply for an ESTA through the current US Visa Waiver Program. A country must meet specific requirements regarding passport issuance, security, and prior visa application denials to be included in the VWP. A B-1 Visitor Visa must be obtained by anyone traveling with a passport issued from another country. The ESTA must be contacted in advance to make an application. ETA VALIDITY

The ESTA is a multiple-entry authorization that is valid for two years from the date it is issued. However, if the passport of the ESTA holder expires before the two-year period ends, the authorization becomes invalid. ESTA holders must ensure they travel to the USA before their authorization expires.

EXTENSIONS
The ESTA cannot be renewed or extended. It is tied to the passport used in the original application. If a traveler’s passport expires or they get a new passport, they need to apply for a new ESTA. There are no options to renew or extend the validity of an existing ESTA.
